RESTORE will be structured in two research & innovation focus areas, each based on the Triple-T concept –Transdisciplinarity, Technology, Translation:
- Mission-driven Basic Science and Supportive Technology, consisting of the three research platforms on Manufacturing, Advanced Preclinical Models, and Clinical Applications
- Clinical Research and Exploitation, consisting of the four RIA modules on Regulatory Science and Health Technology Assessment, Early Clinical Trials, Late Clinical Trials, and Implementation & Exploitation
The research and innovation programme will be coordinated and supported by -seven Coordination and Support Action modules. For these complex new class of medicinal products, Academic Translational Hubs play a key role to interconnect diverse academic and industry research activities, to conduct science-driven early clinical trials allowing refined translation by iterative improvement, to keep patient adherence and to support implementation in clinical routine.
